Your new LifeStyle SunSmart PV home will have photo voltaic panels, much like those used on the International Space Station, mounted on its roof. They will capture the power of the sun and convert it directly into electricity. When the sun is shining, your SunSmart PV home will produce more power than you need. The surplus will be automatically directed back to the utility company and credited against the power you buy when the sun isn’t shining. Over a year’s time, your net cost of electricity from the utility company will be Net Zero, or close to Net Zero, depending on a number of factors including your home’s size and roof orientation.
